What is an authenticator app?
User access security can be enhanced in Inclusion System by using two-factor authentication (2FA) which sends a code to an authenticator app on your phone.
Authenticator apps are software applications that can be installed on your mobile phone, tablet, or computer. They help verify your identity by providing a time-sensitive code which needs to be entered when you are logging into the system, along with your user ID and password.
Learn more about multi-factor authentication here.
Authenticator apps can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Commonly used authenticator apps on smartphones or tablets include:
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
What if I can't access a phone or tablet?
If you do your work primarily on a computer, an authenticator app outside of the computer is recommended. However, we understand that certain workspaces do not allow for access to mobile devices. In this case, you can use a desktop authenticator such as Authenticator - Chrome Web Store.
