How Do I Schedule An Employee Shift?

We will work in calendar view but the basics are the same in Timeline view.

Double click on the time and day you want the shift to start. If there is another shift at the same time there should be space to the right of the shift.

A shift editor will appear. From here you can edit details about the shift like start and end time, position, who will be working it etc. Note that if you are unsure who is working a particular shift you can always leave it as *vacant. 

When you are done editing the shift details you can finish creating the shift by clicking the Save button. 

 

 

Vacant shifts will not flow through to payroll and are for you to help keep track of shifts you need to fill.
